Where are all the Fairmounters?

I'm new to Fairmount. Just moved here from Scranton. Love this section of the city. Anyone have any tips on good bars and restaurants etc?:)

Hello Sexy Girl and welcome to Fairmount.
If you are looking for a nice friendly bar to just chill out at you should check out Bishops Collar @ 24th and Fairmount Ave. Also another good bar if you just want to get drunk at a cheap price is Kroupas Bar @ 27th And Brown Street. The best Place for Pizza would be Italian Express @ 27th and Girard, But they dont usally deliver after 9pm. Another Good place to eat would be Little Petes Restaurant @24th and Fairmount inside the Philadelphian Apt Building Next door to Kleins supermarket. If you want to know any thing else just ask and ill try my best to help you out .Hope you enjoy your stay in Fairmount.:)

I have been to a few of the bars. Bishops Collar is nice. Krupa's reminds like more of a taproom like my Dad would go to. Not exactly my scene to be honest.:confused:

I went to a bar at 24th & Brown and OMG the place is a drugfest!:confused:

I don't care if people want to ruin their lives by doing drugs but that scene is definitely not for me. I could not believe what goes on in that bar.:eek:

Maybe you can tell me about Little Pete's. Someone told me they make the best steak in the city. Have you tried one? I mean a real steak not cheesesteak.

Yea Little Petes does make a great Steak dinner. I use to work for lil pete. I delivered for him for about 10 yrs. I know the bar you are talking about at 24th and Brown street McKennas, That use to be a really great bar but now its run down by all the drug dealers that hang around there. I really dont miss the neighborhood at all any more. But I do miss my Mom she still lives on Aspen Street. Theres another litte bar on 24th street between Aspen an Perot street I heard they got really good food there too , They are a non smoking bar tho. Another good bar is @ 25th and Aspen. Plus you Got Rembrants @ 23rd & Aspen London @ 23rd & Fairmount . I still say the best Pizza is Italian Express @ 27th & Girard, & for some good Rock & roll on the weekends The bar on the corner of 27th and Poplar. Im glad i can help you out. I now live in Australia , I really miss the Dollar Stores tho lol :)
