City to layoff 3000

The city is laying off 3000 employees. 1200 of them are police and fire department employees. Yeah like we need more crime in the city. Latrice Bryant better be one of the people getting laid off.

I hope before they lay off people they finish paving our street. There are several streets around here that were recently striped & should have been paved by now. I'm athinking there may be a work slow down. If the streets are not done, that would just be more strees to possible police, fire & sanitation issues.

I believe paving is contracted out so that should not be affected.

Glad to hear that. I'll just keep my fingers crossed hoping that the City paid that vendor.
