What's up with the Fairmount websites? A friend told me about them. One you can't use anymore and another nobody seems to use that often.

I won't be using those websites. The posts I've seen on those sites appear hostile to someone like me who just moved here. It seems like if you weren't born in Fairmount there is a certain level of contempt for newbies.

I may be new to the neighborhood but that doesn't make me a bad person. I think I'll stay on this website and hope for the best.

Not everyone from Fairmount is hostile towards everyone, I for one was born and raised in Fairmount & I always treated people the way that I would want to treated and that is with respect and kindness. Most of the people on the other web site are really a great bunch of people , You just gotta give people a chance. Let yourself be known around the neighborhood. We are a neighborhood that sticks together, If you are True Blue to people here in Fairmount , Believe me they will show you the utmost respect, We just hate and dispise the people that move into our neighborhood and try to tell us how we should live and how to live , Then they eventually move cause they know we dont take no shit from no one. Fairmount is the best neighborhood in Philadelphia to have grown up in. Im Proud To Call Myself A Fairmounter.

I realize not everyone is a bad person. It's just that I notice that when I talk to people and tell them I moved to Fairmount you get a different reaction and like I said some of the comments I've seen on other websites were less than kind.
